On the track, Leslie improved steadily all four years of high school with her senior year sending her to the Monterey Bay League Masters Meet. Leslie has solid personal bests of 2:32, 5:32, and 12:24 coming into Hartnell as a freshman.

"I've seen a shift in Leslie's attitude toward training and racing and it is going to pay off with big returns this fall. She's really taken on the challenge of trying to follow in the footsteps of her successful teammates and is getting more comfortable running in the front. In the spring, she lead our returners at 1500m and showed great ability at 5000m. Leslie is gonna hit this fall out of the ballpark. "
