From Indoor to the Beach: Hartnell Volleyball Makes Waves with Scholarship Signings
Four standout student-athletes from Hartnell College are jumping from the hardwood to the sand, each signing to play beach volleyball at four-year universities. Though originally recruited to compete indoors, their success in the sand has become a defining part of their story.
According to their coach, that’s part of what makes their journey so rewarding. “All of these players were mainly recruited to play for our indoor team, and I think it’s pretty funny — and very cool — that they all are receiving scholarships to play beach volleyball,” shared Jamie Pedroza, Hartnell College Volleyball Head Coach. “The players have come so far in their time here at Hartnell. One of the best parts of getting to do what I do is seeing them move on to the next step in their journey.”
