Bio
Coach Edwards graduated from Miami South Dade HS and went to Kansas Wesleyan University to play football. He transferred to Hartnell College in 2018. In 2019, he lost his season due to COVID. Since that time, Savion has moved into the workforce. He is currently working for Allied Universal Security Co. He has picked up the skills and knowledge to be a solid football coach after being mentored by another Hartnell Alum and successful football coach, Sunil Smith. Coach Edwards did a great job in 2021 coaching the secondary, which included 2-time All-State player Deonte Ferguson and 2023 all-state player Cade Smith. Coach Edwards prides himself on the fundamentals of the game and transferring that knowledge to his players. We are excited to see the continued impact that Coach Edwards will have on his group of young men as we enter the 2024 season.
