Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Joseph competed all four years in cross country at San Benito High School where he was a three year CCS participant. At the MBL Championship his junior year, he posted a solid 16:47 at Toro Park and has a 17:02 mark at Woodward Park which he recorded at the early season Clovis Invitaitonal. On the track, Joseph qualified to CCS his final two years once at at the 3200 meters as a junior and in the 800 meters as a senior.

"Joseph contacted us after a change of plans and we have been lucky to have him. He's very motivated and with his high school bests has the potential to do big things as a freshman. We didn't get as good a June as we would have liked but he quickly caught up and has been training with the top 7 since. I'm excited to see him use his diverse abilities this fall and also develop the chemistry with the other freshman who he knows really well."
