Keeping Up with Basketball: Men’s and Women’s Basketball on their way
The Basketball Panthers have been very active in the past two weeks. On January 18, 2017 the Lady Panthers visited De Anza College. The team was defeated by a score of 52- 67 points. However, student-athlete Erica Cano was on fire, she left the bench early on in the game and scored 21 points, 4 three pointers. Panther Clarissa Serrano followed with a double double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Aliyah Urzua scored 6 points and had 6 steals, Gabrielle Garcia also scored 6 points. The Lady Panthers keep improving and on their way to the last league games.
In that same week, the Men’s Basketball team faced San Jose City College and fell 59-57. The team is currently in 2nd place in the league and they are one game back of1st. They are currently ranked 11th in assists per game. Student-athlete Jonah Ross scored 21 points against the Jaguars.
