Panthers Represent at Cuesta

This weekend the Hartnell Swim and Dive Team competed at the Cuesta Super Invite. This meet features 22 teams and over 500 swimmers making it one of the most competitive environments outside of the State Championships.
The women's team finished as the third highest Coast Conference team edging out San Mateo.
Myrthe Kramer led the Panthers with an outstanding weekend that included winning the 50 Backstroke in 29.47. She also posted several additional strong finishes, including 9th in the 100 Backstroke (1:06.81) and 10th in the 200 Backstroke (2:24.90). Kramer also contributed in distance events with a 6:22.12 in the 500 Freestyle and 22:34.19 in the 1650 Freestyle.
An additional highlight came from Brooklyn Crompton, who finished 4th in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 195.10 and 4th in the 3-meter diving with 163.35.
Christina Castorena had a strong all-around meet, competing in multiple events including the 200 Breaststroke (3:12.57), 200 IM (2:48.12), and 400 IM (6:06.93). She also posted a 1:28.08 in the 100 Breaststroke and 1:08.66 in the 100 Freestyle.
Taryn Maestri added key performances with a 17th-place finish in the 200 Butterfly (2:59.28) and swims in the 100 Butterfly (1:21.70), 400 IM (6:15.29), and 50 Butterfly (35.09).
