Two wins and a loss for Women’s Volleyball
Last week the Lady Panthers had three games. On Monday, October 23, 2017, the Women’s Volleyball team hosted West Valley College and won 25-22, 25-21, 25-14. Leaders for this match were freshman outside hitter Hailee Suber (#3) with six kills and two blocks. Sophomore setter Emily Anderson (#15) dished out 23 assists and served up four aces. Emily ranks third in the Coast Conference North for aces. On Wednesday, October 25, the Lady Panthers traveled to Monterey cross-town rivals, Monterey Peninsula College where they swept them 25-19, 25-13,27-25. Sophomore Kawena Paez (#10) dug up 19 balls to help the defense. Freshman outside hitter Sam Shaffer (#1) led the offense with 9 kills and 4 aces. Friday, October 27, the Panthers traveled to Los Altos to face Foothill College. They lost 25-15, 25-7, 25-17. Leaders for this match were Sam Shaffer (#1) with 12 kills and Kawena Paez (#10) with 12 digs. Currently, the team is ranked 13th in Northern California. The overall record is 15-8 and 5-3 in conference. Next Wednesday night, they will face San Francisco City College at 6:30 p.m. Go Panthers!
