Bio
Prior to Hartnell: Competed in three years of cross country at North Salinas High school. Twice placed fifth and once sixth in the league championship. Placed as high as eighteenth at the Central Coast Section Championship.
"Sofia is a huge talent. She's posted some amazing track times but if you look back early in her career she has already performed very well at Woodward Park. The pandemic has given Sofia a chance to really play to her endurance strength and build a huge aerobic base. I've tracked her training and she's done some great things on her own. It took us awhile to get going but now that she's able to train with teammates and even challenge herself to run with the guys, I think she will be another first year all-american this fall."
