Freshman Year: Mariah ran in every meet her first year with her best showing at the Norcal Preview Meet where she placed eighth overall. She earned All-Coast Conference honors with a seventh place finish. Mariah was 29th at the Northern California Championship and enjoyed being a part of the team championship. She finished her first fall with a 77th place at the CCCAA State Championship.

Prior to Hartnell: Mariah comes to Hartnell from the strong San Benito High School program where she was consistently one of the top Baler ladies. She finished as high as eleventh overall at the MBL Championship as a junior and competed in four CCS championship races. Mariah also competed twice at the Clovis Invitational.

"Mariah has decided to come back for her sophomore cross country season after COVID-19 cancelled the fall 2021 season. She's shown the potential to be one of the best runners not just in Northern California but our history. She trains very consistently year round which sets her up for the breakthough performance we know she's capable of. I'm excited to see Mariah make history as part of this year's special team but also hopefully enjoy even more individual sucess for herself before she transfers."
